I was really looking forward to visit Whitby Abbey. I was especially keen on the shot with the reflexions in the pool. On the way to Whitby I stopped up on the hillside to get a shot of the abbey on the plateau above Whitby (first photo). I followed Ellen´s instructions and took the route to the pond. Unfortunately there was nowhere where you could gain ground to be higher up and catch the whole reflexion. After I bagged that shot I toured the Abbey and came back to the pond to try the same shot again when I realised the swallows diving down onto the surface of the pond.
