Alongside Derwent Reservoir there are many lone trees which give good foreground for sunrise and sunset. On the first early morning shoot there was a cloudy sky so the pictures asked for conversion into B+W. The spot is just below the sailing club looking towards the Dam of the reservoir. The second sunrise shot is high above the Reservoir at Cowbyre Farm where I took a test shot the afternoon before. I was too cold to wander into the meadow and wait in the open. It was an ice cold wind and I prefered to stay in the car and covered the camera with a thermo bag while waiting for the sun to rise. In friendlier weather I will come again and go closer to the tree but that is for another  visit. In the distance on the right of the reservoir is our Caravan Park.
