Dipper Hunt with Terry
Terry came from Nenthead because I promised him Dippers along the Derwent. We stalked along the Derwent towards Blanchland for three hours without seeing a single Dipper! We had lunch at the White monks Tea Room in Blanchland and Terry was quite disappointed. I tried to cheer him up by saying that we should give it one more try and walked downstream from Blanchland. After ten minutes we saw a Dipper and followed it downriver until we could overtake it and watch it for almost 10 minutes at the same spot. It was great. These are only the very best shots out of a huge number of good ones.
