Drove to Far Sawrey and started with a nice early lunch at the Cuckoo Brown Inn. The walk took us past Moss Eccles Tarn and Wise Een Tarn. From there through woodlands down to the shore of Lake Windermere. Coffee at the National Trust place near Claife Station and back up to Far Sawrey. After that took the ferry accross Lake Windermere. Short stop at Windermere and back the alternative route towards the Kirkstone Pass.

At Glennridding we had a wonderful stopover at the Inn on the Lake before we continued to Watermillock. It was recommended by Ann & Haydn!
