After a visit to Anne and Haydn in Hexham I drove back via Allenheads to have a look at the Chimneys which are visible from a long distance. The weather looks nice on the photos but it was extremely windy. The view from the edge where the second chimney stands is fabulous! I enclosed the details of the Information board so you get an idea of the mining history of the area.
