Early morning visit to Dove Cottage and Grasmere for Wordsworth memorabilia and Ginger Bread. Already full of chinese tourists!!
On to Grizedale Forest where we walked up to Carron Crag with it´s trig pillar on a rocky outcrop and a panoramic view of the Coniston Fells. A lot of wooden sculptures with the „Panopticon sculpture“ being the most impressive. Descend to the Grizdale Visitor centre with a very good lunch and back up to Moor Top Car Park where we started.
From there we drove to Satterthwaite, parked at the Eagle´s Head pub and walked to Force Mills with the Force Falls which were not so impressive due to the lack of rain. After the walk a meal at The Eagles Head and back to Watermillock via Ambleside. Again some fantastic evening views along Ullswater (Last two photos).
