Some motives are much better in Black and White. The Alston Moor area with its bleak landscape is particularly suitable. The modern software programs allow you to convert into black and white quite easily. The scene however must be suitable for the conversion. This is a derelict farmhouse above Alston underneath the road to Ashgill. In the Banner above I include B+Ws as I go along checking my previous photos for suitable candidates. Due to the resolution the picture is not always completely visible. But I will include them in extra chapters once I gained some more experience in converting into B+W.
