We walked from Barden Bridge along the river Wharfe towards "The Strid". The usually wide and slow moving Wharfe is funneled down a 30 feet deep channel that has been carved out of the gritstone rock. It is named "The Strid" as it is supposedly only a stride across.

In the evening we had a short local stroll along Gouthwaite reservoir. (Last five photos)
