It is not true that the only reason I visited the castle was to get to the top of the Tower and take photos of High Cup Nick. It was however the highlight of the visit. I was a bit disappointed when the guide told us that after we had a look around the rooms (with very informative information boards) that we would be guided upstairs by him and were not allowed to spend time up there on our own. As you can see the weather was great and I managed to get a few shots of my all time favourite.
