We have spent a three week holiday at Cowshill with the children 20 years ago and didn´t know the waterfalls were there. They are not listed on Maps which is strange because much smaller Waterfalls are. I searched the internet for ways to get to Turnwheel waterfall at Rookhope Burn and came across photos of the first two waterfalls by chance. As you can see on the map they are very close together and right next to the main road through Weardale. The third waterfall which is the biggest is next to the old mill and is the easiest to reach. I was lucky to see the seatrout leaping. (Photos on next page).
