Meeting of the Waters I

During my last stay I didn´t make it down the river far enough to come to the confluence of the river Greta with the Tees. Better prepared this time I started as usual from the small layby near Abbey Bridge and before I walked downstream I took some shots of Egglestone Abbey on the opposite bank of the river. The Blue Bells and the wild garlic among the trees, which held me up on the walk towards the confluence of the two rivers during my stay in April, were no longer in blossom and I quickly arrived at the beautiful spot where you can see the river Greta joining the Tees. The entry of the Greta is obscured by huge boulders. On some photos across where the Greta joins you can see the bridge and the cottage a few hundred yards along the Greta. That is where I came a few days later walking along the opposite side. I brought my new 10mm lens to try it out. Photos 17 - 26 were my first shots with that lens. It is unusual to have such an extreme wide angle (The human eye has an angle of around 45degrees). I stayed a long time at this really beautiful place with weather almost too good for photography.
