Three Weeks in Teesdale

An eventful three weeks staying in Curlew Cottage at Hauxwell Grange outside Barnard Castle from end of April until the middle of May 2022. I explored Teesdale and the surrounding area and took lots and lots of photographs. The pages in this chapter are in chronological order of my photo excursions. Altogether 40 pages! It was a lot of work but also great fun arranging the photos and maps, describing what I did and researching the information about the various places.

The cottage was really nice and has a beautiful little garden with a pond. In the evenings you can sit outside and enjoy the sunset. Every evening the curlews came to the meadow next to it and the early morning visits of the deer were of course another highlight. The owner Rob Pearson and his grandson Max (who is a keen gardener) made me really welcome and since it is ideally located for exploring the area  I already booked another stay in September! Many more Teesdale projects still to come.

P.S. you can enlarge the two maps only and not the photos on this page which is different from all the other pages.
