Meeting of the Waters II

Starting again at Abbey Bridge but this time crossing the bridge and following the river on the opposite bank towards the river Greta.

The first two photos are taken from Abbey bridge upstream and downstream. Along the river there is unfortunately no chance to climb down to the water level and take photos of the phantastic rock formations. The only view point is photo #4 where you can see the wide meadow which you come across on the walk following the opposite river bank. Plenty of photogenic spots however at the meeting of the two rivers. Looking across you can see the area where I stayed two days earlier. I went as far as the bridge crossing the river Greta from which you have a fantastic view into the gorge going upstream and downstream towards the river Tees.

On the walk back I spent a long time taking photos of the beautiful giant beech tree using the Focus stacking technique that makes the photo sharp from front to back.
