It had been a long day starting with the Dawn Shoot at Torrin Bay and the eventful trip to the Quiraing with the strenous walk up to the top and back. So we were happily sitting in the van looking forward to our diner in the Hotel. But Gary had one more ace up his sleeve.

The evening light was about to set in when we reached the brow of the hill on the A87 leading back to Sligachan. Gary stopped at a layby from which you have a great view of the Cuillin mountain range. We had enough time to line up on a mound and wait for the evening light to get better and better. A great finale to a wonderful day.
