Great Rundale Beck

Rosalind and I had tried to do this walk two days earlier but starting from Knock. We were prevented from getting across to the route marked in orange on the map because there was a no access sign on the farmland. We had to go back to Knock than drove to Dufton and only managed to get as far as clappers bridge. On the last day of my stay I wanted to do the whole walk and take pictures of Great Rundale from the top of Dufton Pike. I started of in good weather but by the time I reached clappers Bridge it got colder and windier. I decided to not climb to the top of Dufton Pike but to stay low and make my way to the point where I could see the Dale. The cold wind proved me wright. It was however a fantastic sight of the Dale even from lower down. A great walk with fantastic views of the distant Lake District
