From the hillside where I started my walk towards the Elephant Trees I could see Tunstall Reservoir above Wolsingham. The next day I parked at the picturesque little car park and walked around the reservoir from there. At the far end is a great area for bird watchhing. The trail on the opposite shore is very narrow and does not give many openings for photos across the lake. On some of the photos you can see the smoke clouds from the burning of the heather. This was prominent during the last week of my stay and ruined a lot of the landscape photography.
