I bought Helen Shaw´s book during our last stay in Alston and Bow Hall Farm with the mountains as a backdrop was a photo that I also wanted to take. So Sunday morning I drove the short distance from our cottage in Long Marton and after taking some shots in not so good conditions with Bow Hall in the distance (photos #4 and #5) I continued a bit further until High Cup House. There I was able to take a nice close up of High Cup Nick with the mist still lingering (photo #5) . On the way back a snap shot of Dufton with the nice fountain and the Pub in the background and when the sun finally broke through the clouds I took some roadside shots of the beautiful scenery.
