Dipper below Blanchland

I had various unsuccessful tries to get good shots of the dipper (Wasseramsel) below Blanchland until I hit the Jackpot! That morning I was determined to catch him and wandered further down the river than before, saw him a couple of times but no time to take any shots. I arrived at a clearing with a bent tree and decided to have my picnic sitting on the tree. When I wandered towards the river from the picnic spot I saw him foraging in the shallow rapids! I took altogether over 200 shots and most of them are really good. So the biggest difficulty was to choose the "best" ones. Some of the shots where he dives were taken at 1/2500 of a second so the water seems to stand still while it is covering the bird. Walked back to Blanchland with a spring in my step :) (despite the big picnic...).
