Guisecliff Tarn - Yorke´s Folly

Sunday and a lot of motorcyclists and weekend travellers. It gave us a welcome break from driving around in the car. We walked from the cottage at Pateley Bridge through wonderful woodland past Guisecliff Tarn to Yorke´s Folly. It was built 200 years ago by the Yorke family to provide employment and supposed to resemble a Rhineland ruin. From here you have a wonderful panorama of Nidderdale.
