Before I started my walk I had a short walk to the pond near the junction where the road to Bollihope Burn turns off. Carrs Top is visible in the distance. Also on photo #3 with my car parked in a small layby. The way up is a good track clearly visible (see photo #8) all the time. Looking back you can see the pond in the distance. After you reach the top you have fantastic views across into Weardale photos #12 - 15. On photo # 13 just to the right of the cairn and on photo #14 on the very left you can see the hills with Nenthead on the other side. On the very last photo you can already see the rain approaching behind me on the left. I quickly secured my camera and made my way back in a rain shower. Another short but strenous trip with great views all around as a reward.
